Adult Programs
League play is provided in competitive and non-competitive formats, which may vary each season based on the preferences of the majority wishing to participate. Your league co-ordinators dilligently establish schedules and ‘placements’ so players can practise their skills, fine-tune their game, and socialize with their clubmates. Only active members may participate. An NTRP of 3.0 or higher is suggested.
Currently, members may register for 3 leagues. However, if numbers exceed court availability, it may become necessary to limit the number of events you may play in. Alternatively, league co-ordinators may implement ‘byes’ at their discretion to best accommodate everyone. A spring and summer session is planned for mixed doubles and singles. Spring session registration begins March 15 and summer session registration begins in June. There is a $10.00 participant fee for each league. There is no charge if you wish to ‘spare only’ in any league.
The format adopted for each league may vary from year to year. Typically, spring leagues begin the first week of May and end the last week of June. Summer leagues begin in first or second week of July and end in late August. League formats may vary from year to year from the descriptions below.

Women’s Spring Doubles League:
The ‘Ladies Night’ tennis continues to attract new and existing members because it provides the opportunity for regular doubles tennis in a relaxed, non-competitive atmosphere. While teams are ‘slotted’ to provide challenging matches, the emphasis is on friendly rivalry. Participants are encouraged to find doubles partners before registering, but attempts will be made to find a suitable match if you sign up with a partner. Complete details regarding placement challenge matches, rescheduling matches, etc to be provided when the schedule is posted.
2008 Men’s Spring Doubles League:
The progressive league format is a popular format favored by the men. The two winners of a match move up and split. The two losers move down and split. A new schedule is emailed to participants each week.
2008 Mixed Doubles League:
In the Spring & Summer Mixed Doubles Leagues, teams sign up with partners, but attempts will be made to find suitable partners for those without. Teams are ‘slotted’ to provide challenging matches.
Singles League:
The Spring and Summer Singles Leagues is a co-ed league where men and women compete against each other using a box ladder format. Each player will play one another in the box over a number of weeks and the top player at the end, moves up a box and the bottom player moves down a box. A new schedule is to be posted/emailed after all of the games have been played.
